Hello Zazzlers and friends! Arcimboldo was born in Milan in 1527. Whimsical Portrait But there's also Klaus Enrique , an artist  born in 1975, Enrique grew up in Mexico City. If you visit Enrique's site you will discover severals worls inspired by Arcimboldo technique!  Beware, some are a bit scary, like this interpretation of Ghandi, bellow.

Blog Action Day is today!

Image
Hello friends and Zazzlers! For several years in a row, I participated in Blog Action Day . This year I was not aware of the date until a few minutes ago when I looked into my email box! I got a reminder. So here I am joining the initiative in the last minute! This year the theme chosen is HUMAN RIGHTS .  We must keep discussing Human Rights even if we think that we live in a country that has respected Human Rights.I believe that we can't take it for granted. Because nothing is permanent. But if we think we are doing fine, then we can always fight for those who are suffering violations of their rights somewhere else. There are lots of ways to do that. The first thing is to look for information. Where are the abuses taking place? Who are the victims? What organizations are there to help? Then if we have a blog we can write about it to raise awareness. We pick a cause and stick with it, we learn about it and spread information about it. In some countries, there are terrible vi...

Halloween spooky party tables for kids

Image
Hello friends and Zazzlers! Halloween also takes place around the table.  Decoration sets the atmosphere but to play with food can be allowed also.  can be an occasion of great fun for kids.  Imagination has no limit so you can display some spooky foods on the table! But, beware! It can amuse some, it can fright others. Creepy food can bring chills to the stomach! What can you get when you enter Halloween Party? Maybe a Bloody Hands Punch or a Kitty Litter Cake?  Well, this one was gross! But  Sweet Monster Cupcakes are cute and Hairy Daddy Longlegs is fun! There are lots of ideas over the internet. Finger foods, body organs of all types, bones and tasty brains to eat. Anything goes! One of my favorites is pâtés transformed in little brains that you easily make using molds. It looks real! Yes, I know, I'll never grow! If you don't like the idea of having strange body parts as food on your table you can just go for a simple Halloween table decoration. I am...

Halloween candy tins from Zazzle

Image
Hello friends and Zazzlers! Do you like candy? I love chocolate above all things. Sometimes I steal some gumdrops from my nephew to discover that they are just half-hardened rubber or something! Colorful and with funny shapes but that texture just kills it all! For me is chocolate or nada. For many kids, Halloween is the most fun night of the year. Come on, if I was a kid I would think that Halloween is a  magical day. It's the full fun package: 1st, kids dress up in a cool costume, 2nd, they can stay up late with their friends, and 3rd, they go out in the neighborhood and, yes, 4th, on top of that they get free candy. Getting such a monstrous variety of candy in one night is quite something! C andy is the king of Halloween, not Jack. I read that some people give toothbrushes on Halloween? That's such a spoiler. It's important to brush the teeth after eating meals or candy...but Halloween's not the moment, right?!! Candy corn is the famous candy of Halloween, so fam...
